ATAS certificate delay 2022

I have submitted my atas certificate application on march 3rd, 2022. I haven't received it yet. Its been more than 70 days. Emailed them but got an auto-generated reply. Has anyone seen this much delay in their atas?

Hey @qhaliI completely understand your concerns with the ATAS. Unfortunately, this is a peak time for ATAS applications and other student visa applications. I would strongly recommend having a conversation with your university if the ATAS was a condition for your unconditional acceptance to the university. I hope that you'll receive it soon.

I have applied on 2nd May. No responses, been 6 weeks.
I have applied on 28th April. Still not received any mail. Frustrating it is.
Which country have you applied from? Masters or PhD?

In UK. Completed study and waiting for research fellow job. For research fellow, I need to have ATAS as well.

I think researchers and PhD students get extra scrutiny. Masters students are receiving theirs in 6 weeks and under.

Hi everyone,

I submitted my ATAS researcher application from India on 20th May 2022, my application number is 319xxx. There is no update on my ATAS application portal, it just says "Submitted". Is there anyway to expedite this process as my Job start date is 1st August 2022 and this delay in ATAS is making me anxious.

Could others kindly share there ATAS timelines? it might help rest of us make some sense out of the situation.

Do you already have a visa for UK or will have to apply after getting ATAS? because I applied on 2nd May still havent gotten mine and visa takes around 6 weeks now. Would suggest asking your employer about postponing joining date.. just in case u will still need visa

Please update when you receive your certificate. Most of us are in the same boat with regards to ATAS delay.
