Can circuits like this work?
I remember doing a question where we add the pd.s. So in this case each cell provides 1V so it would be 2-1
But in a video i came across she said the circuit wouldn’t work at all so now im confused

If u replace the above setup with an equivalent, it would be 1 V (positive on left) with internal resistance = 3r
