There are many books available online for biomedical science, so I would suggest trying to access ebooks if you can (if you have access to a university/college library online you can get these for free). If you prefer textbooks then you can either check your local library or buy them second-hand on ebay/amazon/worldofbooks. A few recommendations from me based on my course (Biology) and overlapping modules with the Biomed course would be:
1. Immunology by David K. Male
2. Hoffbrand's Essential Haematology by A. V. HOffbrand
3. Understanding Immunology by Peter Wood
4. Ross and Wilson Anatomy and Physiology in Health and Illness by Anne Waugh
5. Essential Cell Biology by Bruce Alberts
6. Biology of Disease by Nessar Ahmed
7. Practical Skills in Biology by Jonathan Weyers, etc / Practical Skills in Biomolecular Sciences by Robert H. Reed.
8. Brock Biology of Microorganisms by Michael T. Madigan
9. Human Physiology: An Integrated Approach by Dee Unglaub Silverthorn.
10. Biology: A Global Approach by Neil A. Campbell
This is not an exhaustive list and is mainly suitable for 1st/2nd year students (with some supporting third year topics). Also look at BIOS Instant Notes textbooks in Molecular Sciences/Genetics/etc.
Hope this has helped!
Best Wishes,
Chelsea
