Biology a level OCR june 2018 paper 2 question 17 (a)(ii)
Calculate the mean annual decrease in the adélie penguin population between 1988
and 2010.
Show your working. Give your answer to three significant figures.
Does anyone know how to do this question? I have literally been racking my brain over it for weeks and I can't get the answer. The mark scheme isn't much help because it just says that the answer is either 836 or 418 (with no evidence of how to solve it). Could anyone please help me out?

(1988 number)1150-230 (2010 number) = 920.
920/22 (number of years) * 10 (the unit is breeding pairs/10) = 418 breeding pairs
418*2 = 836 (2 penguins make up a breeding pair)
