I've gotten lots of mixed answers from teachers on this, but how important are names/dates for theories? I know the concepts, but I struggle to attach names to the theories. Will this make me lose marks?

Based on what I was taught when I did A-level sociology (sat my A-levels in Summer of 2019), the date is less important and you should definitely aim to remember key sociological studies for concepts/theories, e.g., Bowles and Gintis' correspondence principle and the myth of meritocracy in the Education unit. Hope this helps!

@rwnsl names are more important, the people that students tend to remember the best because their work covers most Unit's are Talcott Parsons, Emile Durkheim, Max Weber, Ann Oakley and Karl Marx
