Can I get rid of them? I see them in every picture and they’re so ugly, am I able to get rid of it/cover it somehow. Should be heading to Bristol in Sep but don’t know if that matters

The pin boards are there because you're typically not allowed to attach stuff to the walls. So use them for the purpose they're provided for -- put posters on them, or photos of family/friends/loved ones.
