When I watch TV shows, sometimes I can hardly hear what those speakers talking about. But when I read the subtitles, they are actually using some simple words. How do I get improved?

are you watching them in a foreign/second language? cause if not you might have some sort of auditory processing disorder. they're usually hard to fix, and not just some skill you never got good at./
