Ah cheers, no I'm not taking it personally its just I got the same email so was wondering if like you I was on a shortlist or not!
The email cnfused me a lot, so it is a shortlist right?
I'm fairly confident, and I don't think anybody thinks otherwise anymore, that it represents LSE's gathered field (https://lfylive.lse.ac.uk/lfy/tc/enq...searchString=).

What this essentially means, I believe, is that we're not good enough for an instant offer, and not bad enough for an instant rejection. We have to wait and see until January.

I know people on here have been rejected from UCL, some people with insanely high grades (ie Economist1), but has anyone been rejected/offered by LSE for Bsc Econ?
I got an Economics offer on Friday (AAA + pass in Further Maths)

Am I right in saying that the UK people with offers so far are all doing FM AS this year?

I am doing FM AS & A2 this year. It's an interesting thought, but I know someone whose grades are as good as mine and is doing A2 FM this year but has not yet got an offer.

    I'm clutching at straws
To be honest, I'm clutching at straws regarding Warwick. Do you have a theory to propose about those who have got offers? - Well done for yours, you thoroughly deserved it.

Did s/he get the 'shortlist' email. Also, do you know when they applied?

    Thanks

I'm glad you think I deserved it, but I'd certainly trade it for an LSE offer

To be honest, I'm finding theories on this quite hard. Somebody I know with 11 A*s and 7 As at AS-level didn't receive an offer. However, they applied in October. The only people I know with Warwick offers applied in September, did you?
