I used to get lovely big cheese cobs from a bread shop in the market hall when I was little, loved walking round town on a Saturday or after school munching on a cheese cob!
You've made me want a cheese cob now.

Cob *shudders*. Got an ex from the midlands who always used that word instead of sandwich or "butty", eurgh!
We have hundreds of shops like that in Wigan, the best ones doing special Breakfast Barms with every single food associated with Breakfast-time inside it. Pure sandwich heaven.

lol basically just a sandwich shop or deli..
differs on quality depending how popular/small the shop is really..
theres one near me which does panninis/sandwiches/homemade soup/jacket potatos & hot drinks/smoothies
A basic sandwich is on a roll - white/brown/seeded and you choose the filling, varying from cheese & tomato to cajun chicken + whether you want salad & spread/mayo.

Yeah, there are loads here (Manchester and NW England in general)
They are normally called a butty shop round these parts though.
