Oil is burnt to reuse fire and energy - can you burn water.

it kinda was a silly question lol

Although hydrogen cars - on a like surface level understanding - seem like they can be burnt to make water (exothermic so releases energy) and then that water can be split again.

And plus the chemical composition in water and oil is wayyyyyyy different.

Maybe you are talking about steam engines but those are also coal powered

Well you can use hydrogen as a fuel, tbh most of the problems with this are more about energy density, logistics & creating “green” hydrogen (whilst it might seem clean if you have to use electrolysis to generate it then you may as well just use electric cars) given its relative energy & power density. Their are other types of hydrogen to energy generators called fuel cells which have a raft of other issues for mainstream road transport. Essentially you can, it’s not a “combustion” issue rather a system-scale one.

with water specifially it’s actually already the byproduct of hydrogen combustion...
