IAL english literature edexcel

Im taking my a levels next year and i want to go into the clinical psychology field. The A levels im taking are psychology, sociology and English lit. I need one facilitating subject and literature is the only one that sparks my interest and it'll be useful due to the nature of writing essays and stuff for psychology. I just want to know what the content is like. Ive checked the spec and im aware of teh texts they could teach us, but id like to know a little bit more about how the course is like.
