You can see if your local church is keen on the idea. Call and ask. Also contact schools and nurseries in town.

Great advice above. 
Contact schools, nurseries, local community centres/churches to and check the services they offer. You can gain many transferable skills, such as patience and good communication skills, which you would be useful for your course/career pathway. Clinical experience isn't essential for this role so don't worry.
You're likely to require a DBS so it may be wise to get that sorted if you haven't already.
