i'm studying languages at uni this year and a year abroad is part of my course. im still deciding on certain courses but which year abroad do you think is better? both are really appealing but idk :[
one year studying in south korea (seoul) ..or
half a year studying in japan and another half working in spain

Personally for me I would want the change of scenery a bit so I would go for the second option however it depends on how you feel but you would get more experience out of the 2nd option
