I'm just starting to write my final assignment in my nursing course at Napier, I am struggling to create a QI proposal that has enough relevant and recent evidence to support my argument. I have seen a few other students suggest fluid balance charts as they have a lot of evidence but was also leaning towards oral care, especially in end of life and palliative care. Any opinions/suggestions?

Fluid balance charts are a common QIP target from many professions. Yet the quality of fluid balance monitoring rarely improves, which is frustrating
Oral care is a common choice for this sort of dissertation topic as well, you can look at it from many perspectives, with VAP prophylaxis in ITU or end of life often avenues explored.

My advice would be to choose a topic you are interested in, it's going to be something that takes over your life for a while so it helps to be invested in it.
