are there mature students at goldsmiths? (i'm 22)

I started first year at Birmingham City uni aged 21 last year but have decided not to carry on there as i don't like brum at all. I'm currently looking at places to go to next year and Goldsmiths seems like a good potential for me. I'm from the home counties and London has the best nightlife imo so i really want to go to uni here. My main dilemma with going to Goldsmiths is that i won't be able to find anyone else my age as it is such a small uni. Obviously i was older than most of the people in halls last year, but as it was a medium size - large uni there were a few others in their early 20s so it didn't feel that weird also i think the fact that i'm a girl rather than a boy helped as no one viewed me as "creepy" or a threat i was actually decent friends with a few of the 18/19 year old boys (as well as girls ofc) in my halls and it was quite chill compared my friendships with boys my own age as i was a bit too old for them to try anything and they viewed me more as an older sisters. Current students do you know if they are many people who start at goldsmiths at 20+ or is everyone 18/19??? thanks
Hi,

I just completed my final year at Goldsmiths. I forgot what the exact percentage of mature students is but the university overall is extremely diverse in that sense. You’ll find people younger than you, but you’ll also find those who are around the same age or even slightly older than you. Someone that studying the same course as I was is actually over 40, and we all just seemed to get along well if I’m honest. People do tend to look past age after a while and you will find those who you get along with as time goes on. A few of my mature student friends also did live in halls if that provides you with some form of comfort.
There are mature students at all universities, and 22 is pretty damn young, so don't worry about it! On my course there are people in their late twenties, early thirties to forties and by the looks of it their ages doesn't bother them.

It definitely is a lot more helpful. Overall, you’ll be fine, honestly. I was commuting and actually had never been to New Cross prior to my first day haha, but you’ll familiarise yourself with the area in no time.
i'm starting the fine art ba in september and i'm 22. i'll be in halls too.
