About 7-8 months ago i put peek-a-boo highlights in my hair.
Since then i havent bleached my hair. For some reason since then my scalp has been really sore and sensative. Even more strange, even tho i have re-growth i can still pick out the hair they bleached....i can see the foil placements in my root area...and its virgin hair!?

Where i chemically treated my hair, at the top only, i notice that its thining out almost like im losing hair which is weird because i dont see my hair shedding alot even in the shower. Does this make any sense??

Is there something i can do to help it? like a shampoo??????
Anything to help my sore scalp?

Hmm.. Is there any inflamation to the skin? It sounds like you're possibly allergic to the chemicals you put on your hair. I think you should see a doctor to check that you haven't got a scalp condition such as seborrhoeic dermatitis, and if everything's fine you could try talking to your hairdresser or pharmacist about shampoos which could help with the thinning and soreness.

I hope you feel better soon

Did you do the allergy test before applying the chemicals to the rest of your hair?

    No i didnt.
i put chemicals in my hair b4 and nothing like this happened to it.
My scalp looks fine, but i can see the spaces in my hair where the foils were.

The same brand may have changed the chemical composition in their products, using new ones or in a new formula, so it's probably a good idea to do an allergy test every time.

Often the first time you use something, you dont react to it...but you become sensitised to it...this means the next time you use it your skin is prepared and launches a full scale allergic reaction.

If you used it again, the reaction would probably be even worse!

It might possibly be worth seeing your GP...they could arrange for you to see a dermatologist and have a patch test done which would establish precisely which chemicals you are allergic to
