I read it somewhere...I'll look for that info and post a link when I find it.

    If I'm mistaken...well, then I'll retract what I said
Of course reading something on an official document doesn't necessarily mean they haven't changed their minds! They seem to like doing this!

Ok, don't worry about it. I just didn't remember reading that anywhere, and it'd seem weird that material from your personal statement wouldn't be taken into account if you'd failed to crowbar it into the short interviews.

Guys, when I called, I asked whether or not we would get our scores with our letters and she said no, we would only have a number to call if we wanted feedback (if unsuccessful) and there would be a 3-4 week wait for feedback to be issued out. I can't say I was surprised, this is normal for the NHS.

True, but would they now go and give themselves EVEN MORE WORK, by looking at our scores and also going back to our application forms, etc. in order to get a final score on which to appoint.I don't think so. Once you've reached the shortlist, you just as good as the next person shortlisted. Thats why they asked us all the same questions per specialism and have the scoring system. It doesn't matter if you have a Ph.D. or are a 3yr student, how you perform on those question will determine whether you appoint-able....unless, like others have said...the Trusts are now being consulted and this is why we've got this delay.

The system was suppose to be fair, but something does smell rotten....

I know, but I think that's exactly what assessment centres are for....its how you perform there. They said if you scored 2 or less on any questions from any station, you are not appoint-able...even if you scored high in everything else. Does that mean they'll stick to that...I don't know, especially if the Trusts who shortlisted you are consulted.

Too many unknowns at the moment. Lets just wait and see.

Ok, I've just called them again and they said results are being sent out via e-mail later today! Well, at least for Clinical Engineering as that's what I asked about!

Well that is VERY good news. Even if the rest of us don't hear back today, if you do, then we should soon. Wish you hadn't said that as I'm getting even more anxious now

Hey, I think I was on your stream (You drove to the interview right?)
I took the train from London...

How's everything? (Apart from the wait)
I'm sure you did brilliantly! [I know strange coming from someone who's competing for the same post, I just know that I didn't too well ]

    Anyway good luck!
Heya! It is a small world after all. Stream 3 at 11.20? Name beginning with H?

I think we all made some mistakes during the interview, just have to see how it all goes. I just want to know the result now, it is so frustrating. Let me know when you hear. If I didn't get the post, I would be happy knowing that you got it instead

Another 3-4 weeks for feedback, in NHS terms who knows how long it will take?? It will draw out the process for months, and its just completely unfair.

I think that giving feedback at all is a bit beyond the call of duty. A lot of organisations don't do it.
If, and it's a sizable if, they give out the results on time I'll be pretty impressed overall.

Good luck with the emails today Engineers!

I can't help but thinking though that surely it would have been better for them to issue statements via a website or something with details and updates. Almost everyone on here has phoned at least once and god knows how many of the other 800 people... They could have avoided themselves a lot of hassle.

I know that some organizations do not give out feedback, but on the interview day they said that if people made the effort to come to the interviews from all over the country, then they would make the effort to get the results and feedback to us as soon as possible. I'm just feeling very disenchanted with the whole process now.

On another note, by taking this long, some people may not be able to wait and take up other job offers, giving the rest of us a better chance

jk :p: Doubt many people would pass this job up anyway.

Just had an email reply from MSC Recruitment after asking about Haematology, looks like another week of waiting.

"We are currently quality checking the data and will be sending outcome emails to all the candidates in the next few weeks. You should receive your email at the end of the first week of May or the beginning of the second week"
