I think the most important thing is to be realistic. Some people will get the job and others won´t. It´s a good idea to keep applying to other jobs. With three weeks to go until D-day the best offer we´ll get is another interview.

Yes, I´m doubting myself quite a bit.

........and yes three weeks is a long time.

I think it's particularly amazing that for a usually chatty, outgoing, sensible and competent person, how spectacularly well I managed to turn into a blathering idiot at interview.....I wouldn't employ me on the basis of my interview, so am quite confident that I won't be getting a job offer this time!

All I can do is chalk it up to experience, hope I get through to interview next year and perform like a more 'normal' person, not letting nerves get the better of me!

Well done & good luck in training to all who do get an offer though, you thoroughly deserve it as the process has been a real slog!

I think post interview everyone doubts how they did and think oh I could have said this oh I should have said that. It's completely normal, but theres not alot we can do now except wait and see. Im really proud to have gotten an interview considering the number of applicants for the STP, I think everyone should be. You've got a 1 in 3 chance of getting a position. Fingers crossed, and it's time to play the waiting game 18 days...

    Hi,

I'm interested in applying next year for the clinical scientist training. However, I'm still unsure of the application process. I can't seem to find a lot of useful information on this training scheme :/....

Is there a specific list of universities/ MsC courses to choose from for the clinical scientist training programme?? If so, could you please tell me where to look?

Hiya. A lot of the website about the STP seemed to disappear after the applications closed in February...not good for when I was trying to look more into the scheme for interview. But anyway the application is a few written questions, pretty standard questions i seem to remember and then 2 tests, one maths and one logic. If you pass these then they interview 3 people per post in May.

Try this link for a list of locations and specialisms, let me know if it doesn't work.

Anyone else receive an email regarding positions this evening at about 6pm?
I did, but as it is 2 weeks early I am dubious about it?

    Thanks.

Same...It says I've been offered the cardiovascular scientist training post at Oxford Uni Hospitals. Im unsure as to whether this is a mistake because they said they'd start contacting us from 25/6.

My sentiments exactly uptonro1. Just seems that 2weeks earlier than expected is very odd.
