I'm on the reserved list for Micro.
Fingers crossed for some drop outs/none attenders.
If anyone was on the reserve list last year, did any1 make it through? Or am I just clinging on to no hope?
I think if you phone up you can find out where on the reserve list you are which could give you some idea? If you're top 5 then you probably have a good chance of getting interview (people always drop out, especially when they've only given you 2 weeks notice!), beyond that who knows?

Not sure about STP but for GMTS there is a current trainee who was reserve at both interview and assessment centre...he's probably an exceptional case but if you get to interview and perform well you have a good chance of being accepted!

Ok, so Histopathology must be in then, and apparently so is Cytopathology, with Genetics being looked at now so should hear today! That's most of the 1st week done, other than reproductive...wonder when the 2nd week's results will be in? I'm hoping later this week!

EDIT: Someone just mentioned reproductive on the facebook group, guess this means everything from the first week will be in today...

No it doesn’t elude to anything in the subject of the email. The email is:

    “Dear (your name),

Thank you for completing an online application form for the Healthcare Scientist Training Programme 2013, Histopathology, and for taking the online tests.

We appreciate the amount of time and effort that you have contributed to this process. However we regret to inform you that on this occasion you did not meet the required benchmark and we will not therefore be taking your application any further.

Due to the large number of applications to the Programme, we are unfortunately unable to offer any individual feedback at this stage of the process.

Please note this email is only for the above Specialism/Theme. If you have applied for more than more Specialism/Theme, we will contact you about any outstanding applications as soon as possible. The Healthcare Scientist Training Programme is not the only route into the NHS. There are other NHS websites which are a useful source of information. Please visit www.jobs.nhs.uk for all current jobs with the NHS or http://www.whatcanidowithmydegree.nhs.uk/ to see the very latest guidance on career prospects and examples from other graduates working in the NHS.

Thank you again for your interest in the NHS and the Healthcare Scientist Training Programme, and we wish you the best of luck in your future career.

    Kind regards,

    NHS Scientist Recruitment Team

    Hey everyone,

To anyone that's already had their interview, can you give examples of the technical questions they asked you? I have an interview for Reproductive Sciences but I'm wondering how deep my revision has to go for it.

There's not much directly relatable to my course, but my finals start 4 days after interview so I really need to prioritise my revision and don't want to waste time if it's not worth it!

Thanks and good luck to everyone

News on the Medical Physics/Clinical Engineering interviews/results:
Quote from 'NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme' Facebook page (2nd April 2013):

"... we are still waiting for the interview scores to come back to us & then it will take us some time to review and make appointment decisions and than allocate placements & finally agree them with the lead scientist. That last process alone is very time consuming so as we haven't seen the scores yet it would be at least another week but may well be longer. Impossible to predict until we get the scores..."
