Hello there - I'm the sole dependant for my son's SF application for this year.
I've filled in the necessary details online, but when I checked back today, it said a 'Income Variance Exception needed to be completed.

There is no guidance on what this is or how I'm supposed to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Christie,

An income variance is when we send your details to HMRC to check the income you provided, and it comes back that HMRC have a different amount to what you submitted. We will use the HMRC income to calculate how much the student is entitled to. There's nothing else you have to do.

Thanks,
Kristina
