Do/would you eat hotdogs from a tin?

You know those strange cheap orange-y hotdogs you get from a tin like princes make.
When I was younger I ate these a lot, they're cheap and with sauce you can't taste them.

I bought the tin ones last week, but as soon as I had one I was almost nearly sick. Just the weird texture and gristly tast was horrible. When I looked on the back ingreidients it said it was mostly rusk and mechainicaly recovered meat (i.e constructive tissue from bones etc)

Anyone share my loathe? Or do people like these horrible things?!

I used to absolutely adore the things (strangely, only when they were cold, and thus especially slimy), but now, yeah... yuck. My parents bought some a couple years back and I tried out when I was a bit peckish and spat it out immediately. Nasty.
I hate them, but yes I have eaten them.
Try Herta's Frankfurters. :teeth:

I feel slightly ashamed to say I think they're quite nice after seeing you say what's in them (although I guess I already knew, just decided it ignore it).

My brother could easily live off them though :s-smilie: strange child....

The ones we've got in the cupboard are like 58% chicken apparently :puke:

I used to eat them. And I would eat them if it was from a hotdog vendor thing. But I wouldn't go out and buy them in a tin.

ditto except for baked beans and tuna

I like them. But then again I often seem to prefer cheap, rubbish, plain food to the 'good' stuff.

Nope . The only meat I eat from tins is tuna.
One of my flatmates had them the other day... any 'meat' that comes out of a tin and you cook in brine in the microwave just seems... wrong. I read the ingredients, and it appears to be a mix of reconstituted chicken, pork and rusk. Yum!

I know, which makes them all the more jucier.

Tinned meat is rank tbh, just look at Spam.
Hell no.

Real food please.
