Biryani is a dish eaten in many countries across the Middle East and South Asia I think, not specifically Iranian. But I would associate it more with South Asia rather than Iran or Middle East.

Okay, it is a supraregional dish and not a specialty in Iran. A try seems to be worth it nonetheless.

Fresh hot falafels are delicisious. Also, creamy fresh hummous is another one of my fave. the sweet pastry parcels with flaky pastries and filling with pistachios is super.

Mantu and Ashak

Mantu are dumplings stuffed with beef whilst Ashak is basically dumplings stuffed with fresh chives. They're Afghan dishes and are popular. I personally prefer mantu.
