Hope the exam went well!
Here you can post your answers (try include a question number if you can!) and I'll compile them into an unofficial markscheme in this post :h:

There's a chat thread about the exam here: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7190133

Can’t remember much bits here and there idk how accurate these are
Q1) describe structure and function of nucleus
Describe viral replication

Last questions
6 marker on compare and contrast structure of starch and cellulose
Describe how carbohydrates are transported in plants (5 marker )
Describe how carbohydrates are digested in mammals
guys im actually crying wth the only q i could answer with confidence was q10

SAME it was such a hard paper
1. Describe the structure and function of a nucleus. (4)
2. Describe how virus replicates. (4)
3. Starch and cellulose structure contrast and compare. (6)
4. How carbs are transported in plants (5)
5. How starch is digested in animal. (4)
6. Human VS fish circulatory system.
7. Why overuse of bacteria leads to antibacterial resistance.
8. Aseptic techniques for transferring 0.4dm3. (3)
9. Effect of Ph 7.5 VS 8.4 on enzyme.- what would be in control mixture. (3)

3 points I put helical Vs clover, Ribose vs deoxyribose and thymine vs uracil ?

I got that percentage decrease and those are good points for dna and tRNA question why didn’t I think of that cos I think mine are wrong . I put linear dna versus 3 Clove leaver shape too , I wrote single nucleotide chain versus double helix (2 nucleotide chains ) and then no introns in tRNA . Idk I feel like these points are just complicated and so they are wrong :frown: oh well

No they sound good I think? And imo they sound quite similar, just different way of phrasing it! Stop being so harsh on yourself

I put
Trna= amino acid binding site, dna doesnt
Trna= anticodon, dna doesnt
Trna- single stranded, dna = double

AQA were very generous today for paper 1 bio compared to paper 1 maths
I wrote the same thing, but instead of the anticodon point trna= clover leaf shape dna doesn't
