Here is a good start :

    - They're ≠ there ≠ their
    - You're ≠ your
    - Then ≠ than
    - I wish I/you/she/we/you/they were (not 'was')
    - It could have been (not 'of')
    - Definitely (not definately)
    - Separate (not seperate)

Read and read alot. Read different genres and test yourself on simple stuff like grammar and spelling. You can buy workbooks from WHSmith.

do you mean you want to improve your English language as in the gcse subject? If so, CGP do good revision guides, particularly the one for the poetry anthology ( if you're with board AQA)- they give you all the annotations of each poem and teach you how to structure your essays.

hi, if u want to just brush up on ur english language skills u could get david crystals book rediscover grammar which is good. you could also (like someone mentioned above) go over the common grammatical errors in english. ermm look at the most commonly misspelt words and test yourself. ermm if u need help with analysing texts u could start with normal song lyrics as they tend to use the same features as poetry. and obviously reading is good. im just on a gap year and plan on doing english language at uni so im just doing english 'revision' in my spare time!
