Resitting A level exams

Hi everyone

I really need some advice right now, so I’m 1000% going to fail my a levels and will definitely be resitting but I have some questions that I cannot find clear answers to online if I take the resits in June 2023, would this mean I’d have to apply for a 2024 entry for university? And how much would it cost just to take the subjects in my college that I’m already attending. Can I appLy for 2023 entry for university without predicted grades? Please help me out as I am struggling a lot right now

You can resit in June 2023 and apply for 2023 entry without predicted grades. Unversities are very used to private exam candidates applying without grade predictions. If Whoever writes your reference isn't willing to make predictions, they can mention why you have no predictions and could indicate what you are aiming for.
The cost will be up to your centre to decide. They can charge whatever they like for admin, invigilation and in many cases profit and prices vary widely. IF your college will take you that is likely to be the cheapest option, they will normally only charge a small admin fee on top of the exam fees. If they won't do it look for private candidate advice on your examiners web sites.

But how will universities decide to accept me if I have no predicted grades?

They will look at your application and academic track record (including this years results) and decide if you are a viable candidate for their course. You will not be the first resit candidate without predicted grades that they have had to consider.

My academic track record has never been good though😔😭😭😭 I’m capable of getting really good grades like I know for sure I am but I’ve just been super lazy throughout the two years :/

Then you may be better off applying with achieved grades as you are not likely to get offers from places with high entry requirements if your results so far don't back that up. You might still be able to secure a good university place in 2023 clearing if you achieve what you believe you are capable of.

Depends on what you want to study and where. There's no real way to predict what will be available in clearing. What you want might or might not be available - the most popular courses at the most popular universities will have few if any places available. It might be interesting for you to look at clearing vacancies this summer so you get a feel for whether your preferences might appear next year.

do you think a pharmacy course will be available in clearing?

If you type pharmacy and clearing into the TSR search tool you'll find hundreds of past threads discussing universities that have offered it in the past.
