I can only speak for Scotland but we can be sent anywhere in the country - including all the islands. This has to be paid for by the student and if they are Scottish they can claim it back from SAAS - this makes it quite expensive for any non-Scottish students.

We have 4 years of study and 4 placements, at least we do at QMU.

I can answer more questions but as I cant give any information regarding studying outside of Scotland I'm not sure I can give much more info without specifics of what you want to know.
