hey could someone see if my evaluation points are good for investment model and if they’d be strong for a 16/8 marker aqa?

a strength of investment model is le and agnews research supports the importance of relationship commitment
the researchers found from meta analysing studies that satisfaction level, comparison level for alternatives and investment size all predicted relationship commitment and the most stable, long lasting relationships had the greatest commitment
these findings are also applicable to all cultures, couples and genders
illustrating how commitment is a universally defining feature in long lasting relationship, demonstrating the high validity rusbults model possesses

however, a limitation of le and agnews research is that its correlational
this is a weakness because it cannot be determined if investment causes commitment due to a lack of manipulation over variables
this essentially limits the validity of investment model because it cannot establish which types of investment how much investment is needed to cause long term relationship commitment
therefore, the research discredits psychology as a scientific discipline because the use of correlational research methods mean that cause and effect cannot be established

another strength of investment model is that it can explain why partners stay in abusive relationships
rusbult found this out herself by interviewing battered women at a shelter, she discovered that partners were more likely to return to an abusive relationship because they had less appealing alternatives and invested so much into it and did not want to see it go to waste
confirming a central prediction of rusbults model; that people will stay in a relationship even if costs are exceeding rewards. demonstrating the practical application the model has in understanding domestic abuse victims

oh.. well.. it's like the extended T in PET paragraphs and it helps to make the readers read everything in more sense.
It can be something like this: even though the theory has suggested that it has support from other studies, but it ignores the fact that it is culturally biased.

Not sure if it's only a major thing in our college...
