Helloooo. OK so I'm extremely new to this whole Student Room forum thing, so please bear with me

Basically I'm thinking of applying to Nott Trent to do Theatre Design. I was just wondering what Nottingham's (or indeed the actual uni's) indie scene is like?

Also I'm rather vintagey in terms of what I wear... (I don't tend to shop in main high street sort of shops, apart from perhaps Topshop on the odd occasion!). Are there many vintage shops about the place? Or more individual/alternative-like shops/charity shops?

    Ta muchly people! xxx

I don't know about the indie scene for sure, but I think it's pretty active.
There's also a good number of vintage/individual/alternative/charity like shops around so you should be fine

Hockley and Lace Market area of the city are pretty good for one off stores. Head away from the council house side of the square and that area is a couple of minutes walk.

The indie scene is really active too. Theres a fair few 'alternative' pubs and clubs up past the Theatre Royal in the city, but as I said its pretty popular so you can find things anywhere really, like it is in any big city. I don't know about Trent in particular though as I live here, I'm not a student.

Cow, Wilder, Wild, and the Vintage Warehouse..... good vintage shops! So your in luck!
How are you feeling in the run-up to Results Day 2018?
