Got quite a lot of questions recently so just here to clarify:

-Local nonjupas
-Applied to both HKU and CUHK medicine
-PG IB45 (eng a sl, chin b hl, maa hl, econ sl, chem hl, bio hl)
-BMAT 6.5, 7.1, 3.5A
-Interviewed by both CUHK and HKU dec 20/21
-Received CUHK con offer (con 43) by dec 29
-Have not heard from HKU for medicine and other HKU and CUHK programmes

-Also interviewed by HKU pharm dec 23 but no news yet

Just want to say that HKU has a rlly slow work efficiency...

CO of CUHK for IB is 43 which seems higher than last year, wondering if the CO of HKU for IB will be higher this year.

CU conditional used to be 42 but the recent trend of giving out conditions of 43 is not uncommon. Maybe due to my PG45 and they expect one higher mark lol. HKU conditional used to be 43 so I'm afraid they will con 44 this year

i cant understand their decisions cuz the mark boundary this year will return to the 2019 one and there is no longer any cancellation of paper 3 or 2. so like it will be much difficult to score a 44 compared to last two years D:

I know cases being con 43, 44 and 45 respectively by CUHK this year... seems they are getting very strict :frown:

Reply 213

Did alevel requirements get stricter or is it still 4A*?

I think it's increased to 43 now. I have friends who started at CUHK med in 2021, who got offers of 42, but my friends who got offers for 2022 and 2023 entry have offers of 43

My focus is that yr friendS already received offers from cu. Cuhk is so much faster compared to hku this year. I thought they used to release offer around the same time, but seems like this year hku got backstabbed : (((((
