hey! can you tell me what happens during the assessment centre stage for Barclays

Got a phone call with more details for my AC. They said my AC isn't a traditional AC, it'll be two interviews that are quite long (over 45 minutes each), and according to the team they said that I can't prep for it, that I'll receive all the materials on the day and it's not like traditional competency and etc questions. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm far more scared with this then if it was a traditional AC hahaha. This is for HR by the way, in London.

I got an email for my availability for the assessment center on Sunday (6th November) evening (I was really surprised cuz who works on a sunday hahaha) for London and so I emailed back on monday with my availability, but haven't heard back yet. This was an application for a summer analyst role for HR by the way, and they are still accepting applications for it (not sure if that's at all significant). I'm guessing they are trying to finalize dates, but I wonder if it's online or in person. If it's in person, I wonder if they still have the numerical reasoning test but just the same format as the one we did for the initial online assessment, and also if it's online if there are still group work and group presentations.

I applied for the Graduate Operations Analyst Barclays London position. I completed my assessment centre on the 4th of November and got offered the position on a phone call on the 10th of Nov. I am still waiting to receive my contract.

If anyone receives their contract please let me know what the process was like.

The assessment centre was divided into two sections. General strength competency questions. It's important to know what you are expected to do in your job and that you have a clear professional development plan. The second part is you analysing a text, in which case you cannot prepare for that.

I’ve just sat the AC for operations. Competency based interview pretty general questions about leading a team, having a difference of opinion etc. Link back to the values in your answers and be sure to ask lots of questions and open dialogue about Barclays. Very friendly experience

There’s a roleplay which you can’t prepare for unfortunately. Where and which scheme are you applying for?
