Can I do an IT apprenticeship if I have little experience studying IT?

Hey guys.

I did Games Design at college and I thought it was something I would like to do as a future career, but I've changed my mind. I have been researching IT apprenticeships and they sound like something I want to do but I'm unsure whether I'll be able to since the only IT I've studied was IT GCSE.

I know apprenticeships are supposed to train you up, and you can take them for experience or if you want a career change, however, I feel that I won't be that successful in getting one just because I didn't do IT in college.

Maybe I'm overthinking and if I express how passionate I am about it, I will probably have a chance.
