It is definitely a step up from year 1 but teachers should try to ease you in with the "easier" year 2 topics. With that in mind, it does mean that towards the end, the topics get even harder and with exams also getting closer it can be quite daunting. Just make sure you revise throughout the year and if you don't understand something, don't leave it until just before exams. Also, as long as you're confident with the first year topics you'll be fine because they tend to creep back into the second year topics so a good AS understanding is key. Hope this helped!!

What other subjects do you take? In terms of A2 content I always found biology easier to understand than chemistry as the concepts in biology where often less confusing than chemistry, the only problem with biology is it feels like there's lots to remember. I guess they cancel out overall and I'd say biology's on a par with other subjects.
Also everybody seems to worry about the essay in A2 bio, but honestly the essay is one of my favourite questions cus you can just recall loads of content without having to apply it to random confusing questions!!

Yes , I will definitely be revising as I go along rather than revising and cramming at the end! I definitely did that this year but my exams were very very late this year - so I was lucky haha.
But yes Im liking respiration and photosynthesis (finished those , just doing exam qs) - definitely prefer it more than year 1 topics so far.

I take chemistry and psychology!!
I definitely feel like psychology is my easiest subject - also because of the experience I have from doing it at GCSE. Weirdly enough I prefer organic chemistry over both physical and inorganic. I HATE PHYSICAL so much. Im a bit scared for the essay , like what if a question I know nothing about comes up ?!?!?! 25 marks just gone :|

The questions are always really vague though so even if you haven't revised a whole topic there's still always loadsss to talk about from other areas in the spec. For example in Bio on Friday one of the essay titles was about The Role and Importance of ATP in Organisms. The hardest part for me was narrowing down which topics to talk about because there was so many. And you get the choice of 2 different essays to do anyway so yeh.

Yesss organics the best!! Physical isn't that bad tbh but I can't stand inorganic lmao
