I was checking through my student finance as I was finishing off my details for a postgraduate course. Whilst checking my other finances, I discovered that it claims I applied for a maintenance loan one of my years - I did not do this. In addition, the card it was sent to no longer works, so the money is just there in an old account that has never been used. Is there some way I could just give it back to them since I never used it? I haven’t touched that account as the bank messed things up and it is now dormant. What should I do? I have emailed student finance but is there anything else?

I think you will have to contact the bank.

Hope you manage to get it back.
