How do references get to the uni admissions people?

I was jw, you see, as I have 2 for psych...we had a FAB teacher for AS who left, so I asked her to write me a reference and it's BEAUTIFUL. But now my new teacher (who's lovely, but doesn't know us as well, which is why I asked the other teacher for the reference) has done one aswell, but it's a bit generic and just isn't as awesome as the other one.

Do the teachers have to give the references to the admissions tutors at thge school and then they're sent off, or do we have to give them to them ourselves?

    Thanx!! 8D

What I know is that I'm applying as an individual, and I just copy and paste it into the app OR let my referee write down the reference directly in the UCAS app.

But I presume you're still in school, thus applying through it? Then doesn't your school send in the application, with references and all?

I dont know about how others work, but in my college, after we completed the ucas form, we actually send it off to our tutor, then he will put up the references and predicted grades etc, approve it, let us confirm the application and they will send it off. Still better to check with your school / college first

Yeah thats the same for me. I'm in 6th form, all my subject teachers write me a reference then send it to my tutor who puts it together into one big reference then they attach it with the UCAS application. Then off it goes
