Hi,

Next year I am due to undertake a year abroad in Zurich, Switzerland.
I'm from a London uni so normally get the extra maintenance loan amount for studying in London.

My question is: will I receive the amount I normally would for my maintenance loan next year? (As if I was studying in London). Or will
I receive a reduced amount, the same as if I was at some other non London uni?

Yeah it would be the whole academic year, from 01.09.2022 to 03.09.2023.

Hi Isaac,

Thank you for confirming that. If you are not in London studying within that academic year, you will receive the Overseas rate of the Maintenance Loan which is less than the London Rate, therefore your Maintenance Loan entitlement will be less your previous year.

Hello Isaac,

It doesn't take in to account where you will be studying abroad, the income assessed figure is £11,116 if the household income is £25,000 or under, if it's over the figure is based on a sliding scale.
