Would unis be fine with scanned certificates instead of physical?

i sat exams in an exam centre and it is very far away. The only options available to me are, they scan them and send via email OR I pay for postage. The second option is 5x more expensive. So if I just get the scanned copies will unis be fine with them or could they ask for physicals?

If they ask for them, I suspect they'll want to see the actual physical document.

In any case: it's possible you'll need the physical certificates in the future, so it would make sense to make arrangements to get them now while they're still available to you.
