It keeps on distracting me from the revision that I need to get done, any tips to stop splitting/pulling apart my split ends more?

get a hair cut to cut off your split ends. perfect for the summer heat

tie your hair away from your face and shoulders, like in a bun, or a tight and complicated plait so it's more difficult to get to the hairs
move to somewhere where there are people around, and try to look productive rather than sitting and split end-ing
a bit less drastic than shaving it all off: put your hair in a swimming cap? best if you're alone aha, maybe not if you're in a library or something
