Hi all,
With Clearing 2022 NOW OPEN, we’ve created this thread to provide you with a range of information, updates and a place to ask us any questions or queries about clearing.
Clearing at Sheffield Hallam is open until the 30th of September. You can find out our clearing phone line and online application form opening dates by visiting our main clearing page. Here, you can also register your interest and we’ll send you the latest updates and information.
A bit about clearing
It isn’t too late to apply for university in 2022. Clearing is your opportunity to find a course and start university this September on any courses that aren’t yet full.
During clearing, universities usually have lower grade requirements. You can call your chosen universities to see if you’re eligible for a place, on more than one course if you wish. The universities you apply to will then provide you with a deadline for accepting your offer.
Who is clearing for?
You can apply through Clearing if
•
you didn’t get the grades you hoped for
•
you’ve changed your mind and now want to attend university for 2022/23
•
you haven’t received your results yet (our offer will be conditional on your results)
•
you’re already holding a place at a different university
•
you want to change courses at Sheffield Hallam
•
you haven’t already applied through UCAS

Join us for our on-campus clearing open days on Saturday 20 and Tuesday 23 August between 10am-2pm.
What can you find at a clearing open day?
- Tour our campuses and view some of the facilities you’ll be learning in
- See what accommodation we have on offer
- Chat with academics from your chosen subject area
- Speak to current students about their experiences
- Find out about life at university
Who is the clearing open day for?
- Students interested in applying for clearing for September 2022.
- Students who have already applied through clearing for an undergraduate course, PGCE or pre-registration health and social care course starting from September 2022.

After a student's place in clearing has been confirmed, they can start exploring our accommodation options.
At Sheffield Hallam, we guarantee to find students accommodation for their first year and we offer a range of halls to suit all budgets and tastes.
There are no hidden costs or increases in utility bills. Sheffield Hallam's accommodation rent includes bills, contents insurance and wifi.
Students will also have access to various support services both in halls of residence and from the University.

Our clearing phone lines are now open and our friendly advisers will be taking your calls until 7pm today on 0330 024 6390.
The accommodation and confirmation phone lines are open 8.30am-6pm.
You'll find all our courses and helpful info on our site - shu.ac.uk/clearing
📢 BTEC RESULTS DELAY UPDATE
We're receiving some BTEC results later than expected, so don’t worry if you've studied a BTEC course and your offer status hasn’t been updated yet in UCAS Hub.
Our team are continuing to update offers throughout the day, so look out for notifications in UCAS Hub.
Our clearing phone lines are now open and our friendly advisers will be taking your calls until 7pm today on 0330 024 6390.
