Probably 50-60. I was so tired I can't remember for sure, though. It was whilst I was hitch-hiking.

Apparently it only takes around 3 - 7 days to die from lack of sleep, depending on the person.

I've only ever missed sleep for one night at a time, for essays, or just an urge to see the sunrise for once.

It was last week, and it was about 70 hours.

I woke up at 6am on Tuesday, and never went to bed until 3am on Friday.

I stayed awake for the election results, did the day at school, went home and got ready to leave the house at 2am (Wednesday morning) to go to Auschwitz and then I was awake the whole of Thursday (in Poland), and then got home and in bed at 3am Friday morning.

Needless to say, I slept like a baby!

Probably around 60-70 hours, through either hiking trips or overwork, on a handful of occasions.

why would someone die from lack of sleep? I mean its only sleep lol I know sleep is important but I didnt think staying awake for 5 days or something without sleep was 'sort of life threatening'.

Damn, I clicked the wrong option. A bit over 30 I think, flying home from America. I got up in the morning, the flight was overnight and I didn't sleep, and then when i got home I stayed up until night time.

I'm not certain that it's true, but I think I heard it on QI. After a few days you begin to hallucinate, until the brain 'breaks down', as it were. I can think of cases where people have died of exhaustion after playing for days on an MMORPG. The longest time ever awake is set at 10 or 11 days, which isn't really that much.
