Good luck to her . My brother just had his interview (at Jesus) this Thursday hence the wondering...
Ah right, good luck to him

Drat - I'm going to be taking too much again. Meh.

Btw write the 12th of Jan down in your diaries. I think I might have my birthday party then as its the night before start of term.
Probably won't be able to do 12th of Jan

And I am good at packing... normally. The exception was packing to go to Cambridge and packing up at the end of term :o: Normally it takes me about 20 minutes to pack for a week or two, max.

EDIT: Re: Kings, apart from the frilly bits on the top I love the chapel, the rest of it isn't that great. The gatehouse looks ridiculous, and although the range by the river looks nice that white building is so vile that it renders the wholecourt supremely ugly.

One college that I really don't like the look of is King's - I find the chapel out of place and clashes with everything around it. And I don't like the spire-y bits at the front.
Really? I think it's stunning. I'm biased as I go there, but I thought the same thing when I first saw it!

And its ugly, and far away. Why did you pick it?
'Cos Fitz is the Geography college, I presume.

Selwyn is blates the prettiest college

Downing looks very bland and not too nice. I saw a photo of their chapel and it's not chapel-y at all

:ditto: I'm surprised I'm enjoying it. But I thought we were supposed to read it for Soc Anth
Quite possibly, but it's definitely in sociology too :p:

Don't you just love how everything is laid out into 3 points with a semi-conclusion and then a summary of all the main points at the end of chapters? :yep:

Some of the classical sociologists could learn from this EG MARX :hmpf:

we have normal mathmos at Caius :yep: and there are 9 of us and 2 girls however not many people actually seem to be able to name are than about 4 of us, I think it's cos we spend a lot of time with each other rather than being socially inept  and the mathmos in the year above are all normal

Also craggy, you missed Lamaaa from Caius  and I think there's 3 other caius freshers as well

And my friend just got an unconditional Oxford offer :woo: I feel she deserves it after only just missing her STEP offer and then having to wait a week for Imperial to actually reject her, meaning she had no chance in clearing

Sorry this is from a few pages back, but how on earth do you afford to pay a thousand pounds caution money at the beginning??

Basically. I vaguely recall reading somewhere that it's taken off the bill for one's final term - maybe they had a bad history of graduating students forgetting to pay the final bill?

Yeah, ours is taken off our final bill, but it was only £100-150 (can't remeber exactly). I don't know about the graduating thing though, cos at least at catz, you're technically not aloud to graduate until you've settled all your outstanding bills with college...
