    :eek3:

    :whip:

    :hmmm:
I never got round to it :p: I visited most of the other town centre ones.

I think I'm going to go to bed soon Not being placed for anything in the TSR awards, whilst expected and right (in that I didn't deserve to be nominated) is still annoying :p:

The diffusion equation question is Q13. I don't think we're meant to solve it from scratch - applying the lecturer's method didn't lead anywhere - just substitute the given solution into the PDE and solve the resulting ODE for f(t).
Oh. Ok. I can do -that- I just don't think of doing stuff like that anymore because it is technically cheating Ah well. Much easier now.
Ah, but nonetheless you're here now. At Queens', if I recall correctly. One of my seniors from school is doing Mathematics IB now - I wonder if perchance you've met him?
I've met a few of them. Stu, Joe, Henry...? There are others but I won't remember their names off the top of my head so you'll have to supply the name :P

If/as you've not been to the Maypole you definitely have to come along - its many people's favourite pub in Cambridge
Ah, good. I've only been to three And one of those is literally a 20 second stroll from the plodge so it doesn't count :P

The humorous potential of that is undermined by the fact that it makes sense
I know It's sad that all these potentially humorous sayings are becoming coherant.

    I got votes, just didn't come above 5th (I think) :p:

And I need to start a new Aubrey-Maturin book

Hmm, Ponder or Vimes probably, assuming that it's not possible to be Death and Time (Lobsang Ludd). I'll have a think about it.

The Anchor is crap, and I'm not wild about the Granta  The Mill is cool :yep:
The Eagle has to be visited, but sadly its barely ever quiet enough to bother with.

The Castle (on Castle Hill not Regent street) is another really good one.

You can't be Time, because I'm Susan, and that would be incestuous :puke:
I'm glad you said Ponder, because I told someone else you were him :flute:

    And well deserved too

I am still disgruntled that males have to put up with plain Knight Bachelor when females would get Dame of the British Empire. S'not fair

David Cannadine got a knighthood as well. 'Tis not every day that they honour a Clare historian!

Funnily enough the history essay question that I completed the other day was based on an idea proposed by him... *sounds "historian geek" alarm bell*
