Argh, my hangover  I won't be able to work till after lunch with a headache like this! But I've got a Sociology lecture 2-4, so I can't work then And then I've got cheese & wine this evening with the SPS society, so I can't work then. Hmmm 4-7... 3 hours of reading... can be done. :\

Are any of you coming to the SPS Society Cheese & Wine evening tonight?
Yup I'll be there. I only just woke up  so I missed bio anth.

Yes, but I know for a fact that:
    a) loads of people I know join their friends in large automatic access libraries anyway, so one extra isn't going to make a huge difference
    b) I need to do this at precisely the time when very few other people will be using it. Eg post midnight.

Personally, a student from another college working in the Ward is likely to annoy me less than members of my own college who go there and make a huge disturbance by socialising instead of working!
We've been warned against letting people from outside use our library on numerous occasions, and your argument that one more isn't going to hurt isn't really all that strong now, is it? :P I do see where you're coming from though...!

Yeh I didn't really hold any hope about finding such an option (other than wishful thinking) until this morning when my friend said she got in easily regularly.

I don't object to libraries keeping other members out, obviously. Except my own. That's the problem

Right... time to go to bed. Finally. My mind kept playing tricks on me during lectures, I actually wrote a sentence on my paper that was neither on the board nor is it possible that the lecturer might have said it, but when I regained my consciousness, it was there. Weird stuff.

So do I. Committee are being absolutely USELESS! :motz: Anyway I should know by Saturday how many tickets I have for you, but I'm still guessing its 3, and they are £130 each. I can put it all on my overdraft, but if they be prepared to write cheques for me round then (only after I say how many I've got obviously) that would be great.

They seem to be just putting GUEST on spare tickets, as far as I know :dontknow:

    That's the one

Plan for today: Sleep, write lab report, buy uke string and bread, eat bread, go to ADC, finish lab report, sleep.

I am so very behind and am struggling to care.

I didn't get one. I will just have to be content with my chocolate and bourbon creams instead.

On the other hand, I met K.T. and a few other nice people :yep: .
Ye Gods, that man sounds bizzare! I had a good time of it at my end of the table, talking with some 4th years about their years abroad, & a PhD student about evolution

Another thing - what do people think of the Slug and Lettuce? I've not been in Cambridge, but I've been at Bath and Winchester and thought it was really ncie inside. It just looks as though very few students go each time I walk past. I guess price of alcohol doesn't really phase me when I'm only looking at downing two units. Nice music and beautiful surroundings, however, add alot to being out for me.
I've been a couple of times, & yeah, I think it's got a great vibe (for a chain pub).

I'm about to go on my slow death blind date :woo:
How did it go? Mine was surprisingly interesting/friendly/attractive; I regret turning up late & not making more of an effort! Oh wells.

Shame you missed Habermas - yesterday Thompson talked about the links between his theory and Weber's work on rationalisation. Of course I wouldn't have managed to go in your shoes - I didn't even manage my own lectures last year! Just saying it a kind of 'Oh West Wing would have liked this' way.

    Yeah, a lower one
nah I think it's more likely to be parallel but ever so wonderfully unusual :yep: (well that's what I'm telling myself anyway  )

My analysis sheet is due in at 6 tomorrow, I haven't started it yet, and I just can't seem to bring myself to do it ...

I've been giving a school a tour around today though, it's really hard knowing what to talk about to year tens

It was quite weird to see you talking to ZsiZsi on facebook... mainly because TSR and Peterhouse belong to very different components in my brain!

Kind of glad I didn't go in the end then. I signed up for the tour but then they found out that the children were more interested in maths and physics, so they asked for maths and physics people!
