How easy is it to leave the healthcare industry after doing med?
How to get summer internships at big firms if you are doing med?
Will intercolating and getting a Bsc in Management or something similar help?

I have moved your post away from the Medicine forums, since current medics won't know the answer to your Qs!

Hopefully you'll get better answers here from the Finance forum, maybe you'll hear from past-medics who ended up doing finance too.

Are you already doing medicine?

It’s as easy as anyone with a life science degree but there’s no reason to do medicine if you don’t intend to practice as a doctor.

I am currently studying Bio, Chem and Maths and have 3A* predicted, i've always wanted to go into medicine and am genuinely interested in it, however i have heard of certain people who have gotten into VC and IBD and specialise health-tech, all i really want to know is how achievable this? As i want to keep my doors of opportunity open for as long as possible before i have to decide what i want to do as a full time job.

It’s pretty achievable - you could look at startups run by ex-medics or MedTech conferences or societies at universities. It’s the kind of thing where I’d find people doing what you’re interested in and asking them what they did - I imagine there’s no one size fits all easy path.

Yh, I guess it would be wise to contact others who have gone down this path and speak to like-minded people.

Thanks for the advise.
