I'm doing biomedical sciences at UWIC but I want to do English Literature, is it worth applying? I failed my chem modules but got BEE for AS modules, what grade does that give you? Is it worth me cashing it in for a few more points and if so how do I do that?
Got B for EngLit and D for Biol which I think gives me 160, Glamorgan University offers a English Literature course with 220 min points.

Any advice would be helpful as I would like to drop out but as my parents point out I've got no real plan B at the moment so it'd be pointless to do so.

    Thanks

Min 220 points. You got 160. Think you just answered your own question there.

If a jacket in a shop costs £220, would you go up to the cash desk and offer to buy it for £160?

This is a breakdown of current English students at Glamorgan by UCAS points:

So yes, I would suggest it is worthwhile.

Don't listen to the naysayers on here - what they understand about an individual University's admissions process can be written down on thin air. I myself managed offers for courses that required 100 points more than I had.

    Thanks for that link.

I know it's a long shot but I've been told a lot of people get in even when they're considerably below the minimum requirement, so I thought it was worth asking.
