Screenwriting masters online

Hi
I'm interested in screenwriting, I have a background in writing but not for screen.
Gloucester University has an ma in screen writing I'm looking into that because it's online. No reviews to read though, anyone know how good the course is?

Thanks in advance
You need to get in touch with the staff at the uni and have a discussion with them. Are you able to attend an open day? There is a Course Leader listed on the website - start there.
It can be quite difficult to get feedback on these kinds of courses.
If it was me, I would want to know:
Who would be teaching me and what their credentials are.
What students have gone on to do after the course - specific examples not generalities.
How long has the course been running for.

Hi
Thankyou for your reply, the 'one' lecturer who runs/teaches the course does not have amazing credentials, very vague ones actually.
I don't think the course has been running long at all.
So there is nothing much to measure or assess.
I will dig a bit deeper, the content might be relevant but I don't want someone to teach me how to be a mediocre screenwriter, I want one to help me be a great one!

Thanks
At post-grad level, it's very important to do this - otherwise your time and money can be wasted.
I did an MA in Creative Writing - the quality of the tutors is so important. I was taught and supervised by well-known published authors and scriptwriters.
There may be part-time staff brought in to deliver specialist modules (this is quite common) but names might be difficult to pin down till nearer the start of the course. Part-timers can be highly-experienced, still working in the industry, so if you can get any info on them, that would be good. So in the meantime, dig a bit deeper on this and delay making a decision until you are sure.
