Pangea was a super continent that existed between about 299 million years ago (at the start of the Permian Period of geological time) to about 180 million years ago (during the Jurassic Period). It incorporated almost all the landmasses on Earth, before it broke apart into the continents we have today due to continental drift! You can still see how the continents fitted together in Pangea, like how the eastern side of South America fits the shape of the western side of Africa.
