Manchester should be pretty good for PT jobs.

You might want to think about the distances and costs of travel if you'll be going home between terms.

Hi kaur.kps11

Congratulations for getting an offer from both us and the university of Essex that's great news!
There are a number of private sector housing options available in Manchester, including private student halls, houses and flats and shared accommodation. The price will vary depending on the option you choose but there is accommodation available to suit all budgets. You can find information here: https://www.manchesterstudenthomes.com/Accommodation

If you require further information on accommodation please contact our team at [email protected]

Theres a range of different jobs around the Manchester area available for students from bars, restraunts, retail work there is a lot around! There is a bunch of part-tie work opportunities also from the university! Jobs4Students offers current Manchester Met students paid, temporary job opportunities throughout the university. Our jobs cover a wide range including creative positions, assisting on cutting-edge research projects, sport roles, event ambassadors, peer mentors, student ambassadors, IT support, schools outreach and many more. You can find some information here: https://www.mmu.ac.uk/careers/studen.../jobs4students

At Manchester Met, we have an excellent careers team who will support you during your studies and even after you have graduated and are part of our Alumni community. There are several things our team can help with from; Writing cover letters and CVs, preparing for interviews, helping you gain volunteer or part-time paid work experience and much more. You can find more information here: https://www.mmu.ac.uk/careers/

While the university does not provide you with a job or an internship at the end of your course our careers team can support you in finding jobs or internships as a graduate. We often have graduate events such as; Speak to employers, work placement fairs and graduate job fairs. These events will give you the opportunity to meet with employers offering graduate jobs and internships to find out what they are looking for and possibly apply. There are several graduate schemes we advertise for businesses every year, which you may wish to apply for and get involved in once you have graduated.

We also have 'My Career Hub' which is exclusive to Manchester Met students and graduates, our jobs board is available to you for life! You can check out the job board for new vacancies from local and national employers during your studies and for graduate jobs.

I
hope this helps!

Carly
