Pakistanis of St Andrews

Hello everyone,

I have recently confirmed my place at the Uni of St Andrews for a Masters course and will be joining from September.

I noticed the Sanskriti society and judging by the pictures it does look fun. Is there a PakSoc or is this society a combined South Asian Soc.

I wanted to know if there is anyone from Pakistan on TSR who goes to St Andrews.

A Pakistani Society was created in the academic year 2022-23 and has grown immensely in academic year 2023-24. There is a small Pakistani community in St Andrews however it is a very homely vibe, with the group being very close to each other. The Pakistanis in St Andrews mostly consist of expats, coming directly from Pakistan or the Middle East. I'd say the Pakistanis in St Andrews are very well connected to their roots back home.

The PakSoc does have an active Instagram page and there is also a St Andrews Pakistani Alumni Association page on Facebook.
