Hope the revision is goin great guys. Just outa interest, is it just our department (E&EE) that dont post solutions to pastpapers or is it a UCL policy?
My department doesn't post solutions either, but for lots of modules go through past exam papers in revision lectures.

Can someone fill me in on the Clare Solomon fiasco? Apparently she made an anti-Semitic comment that "would not look out of place on a neo-Nazi website".

Thanks Naomi. Sounds like a left-right debate with a dodgy comment thrown in.

Read this blog, author seems satisfied at her ousting; "now to put aside me being conservative" :teehee:
    http://robmalcolmjones.wordpress.com...olomon-is-out/

Not really amazing that she attracted bad media for her views and her actions thereon, but electors need to find alternative solutions than to simply campaign for someone's head.

I hope this Domalip guy turns out to be a militant socialist, that'll teach people to be constructive. It's a microcosm of the 2010 general election.

EDIT: And bloody hell, just checked the vote count, 2358! That's less than two per cent of the ULU student body, no wonder nobody knew!

I tried reading that blog but the grammar made me want to die.

Also I realised I have no interest in student politics :ahee:

That's hardly grounds for being ousted :lolwut:

I mean at most it's an opinion that some would argue is flawed/wrong, but it's not like she denounced Jews.

Whatever, politics in general makes me want to welcome our future robotic overlords with open arms and a muffin basket.

She made the comment on May 1 last year, so why is it a big deal now? I think I'm with Paddy on this one. Student politics makes me zzzzzzzzz.

I'm having such an unproductive day, it's brilliant. I've done nothing more taxing all day than listen to the radio and wonder why Rihanna can sing 'Sex in the air, I don't care, I love the smell of it' without being censored, but they cut out the words 'whips' and 'chains'. Bizarre. Although I don't approve of censorship, I think I might enjoy being a censor, if you can mess with people like that.

Same. Though I did achieve a personal feat: I woke up at 11am for an "11am" start, on remembering that the teacher doesn't usually start until quarter past at the earliest I leaped out of bed and made it in for twenty past. The teacher was midway through his first sentence :teehee:

I then proceeded to walk into town in the pouring rain and spent a good hour reading a five-page story :facepalm2:

p.s. Sorry if I made you want to die
