Yeah, as long as you have got 1-2 decent essay subjects (e.g philosphy or history) and preferably maths in there some where you will be fine.

Ohh, So it's all down to Psychology/French or Philosophy really.
I'll probably choose History over English Lit.

i do maths, f.maths, economics, chem and history,
note try to do modern history if u can as it will compensate for the politics as in modern u mainly study about politcs,
i think the science is quite important as it shows diversity and they are looking for well rounded people,
try to keep ur options open though as PPE at oxford is highly competitive and u might not want to do it after AS levels,
the more honest and interested u are in ur subjects the better chance of getting in so id say , maths (+further), econ, history + diverse subject,
try to do 5 as if u want to go to a good uni e.g. oxford or warwick they have people with 4 - 6 As at A2 applying so u want to maximise ur chances, but you also want enough free time to do extra- curricular

Cheers Zohair, I'm still pretty keen on Physics, but I thought that might be an overload. I might to French, I heard a language was good. The schools I'm applying for only let you do three or four A levels, could I ask to do an extra?

is that 3 or 4 A2s or the first year of a-levels?
i recomend u ask the school whether u can do 5, however it will have to be either maths, further maths or something like RS,
most schools only let ppl do 4 but u can do further maths or self-teach yourself single maths or i know one boy who does PPE at oxford that self-taught himself the RS a-level with help from his family and synagogue, RS would be a good sub for philosophy but ur gna get a lot of work from ur other subjects and ur skl may not recomend it, also if u could try and do french by urself it would be amazing but difficult,
if u cant do 5 dnt worry at all u can still get in,
u could keep all 4 ASs or put enough extra interest into ur other 3 subjects, e.g. i just went to a history society at skl in which i wrote a general speech about personality in history,
note economics does not have a huge workload at AS so it wouldnt be too difficult to do another subject
